Just some days ago, some well meaning friends called me to announce to me of the plans of some people who are gearing up to give us a run in our business. On getting this news, it was normal for one to want to feel threatened and worried but then again, I reminded myself of the purpose for embarking on this business and it is basically to render solution to a problem I came about in my direct environment.
However, the realization of the fact that competitors are beginning to spring up from all over only but took me back to the drawing board; it awakened the spirit in me and fueled the passion the more. In every business, there must be competition; what you do with the competition determines what you make out of your business.
Therefore, as an entrepreneur, sports man or woman or whatever you find yourself doing, do note that competition and competitors are a part of the business growth.
I was in the sales department (Marketing) of commercial banks in Nigeria for 7 years and one major thing I discovered was the essence of continuous strategic marketing. Every living person on planet earth is constantly in the business of selling either their brand, their product or whatever. However, the method and strategy applied in doing this goes a long way in determining the result one can achieve.
